hello beautiful!
These protein drinks are very good! Non-dairy and generally healthy ingredients! It tastes great and is a wonderful on the go pick me up, or a good snack when you don't have time or don't feel like cooking.
For people with sensitive stomachs or if you have acid reflux, it is often said that chocolate is not good for you! If that is the case there is also a vanilla version of these shakes! Compared to many other protein drinks I have tried, I think this is one of the best! It makes a nice treat and also comes in a cappuccino flavor!

continuing bottled water reviews
I love trying new products!!! Today I tried Penta bottled water and I will say I enjoyed it greatly! From the soothing label and comfortably shaped bottle to the descriptive, convincing facts concerning the quality of the water, I was sold! Penta Water claims to be the purest bottled water on the market and is "an essential step to realize your best mental and physical performance". I paid slightly over $2 for a 1 liter bottle, as I've said in other posts some would consider this relatively expensive. However, how much do many of us spend on fast food, beer, clothes, movies, coffee drinks, and so on? Remember that your mind and experience of life can be greatly affected by the quality of the food and water you eat and drink. To your health, cheers!

other bottled water options
In my opinion, Fiji is another good option for bottled water. It is somewhat expensive for water, yet I think it is better to know you are getting clean, pure water. As I find other research and information I will make updates and look for cheaper options.

water review
How do any of us know what water to drink? Are they all good? While I can definitely not speak with any authority on this topic, I can share what I have experienced! I have drank numerous bottled waters as well as well water! Sooooo... here's my take! I personally am into more alkaline waters right now, it seems that many of us tend to eat and drink an acidic diet! With many people suffering from stomach problems, degenerative bone diseases, acid reflux and so on, it just makes sense to me. To keep this post from getting too long I will just focus on a few "alkaline" waters. From reading various articles, bottled waters can range quite a bit in level of pH. The higher the pH, the more basic, or alkaline the water. Generally about 7 to 7.45 is considered neutral, above is alkaline and below is acidic. The two waters pictured here are evamor and Eternal. Evamor says on the bottle that it comes from a rare, naturally alkaline source deep in the earth and Eternal says on the bottle that it is naturally alkaline, comes from multi springs and contains natural mountain spring water. So, now for what I consider to be the most important part is #1 how does it taste and #2 how do I feel when I drink it? I didn't notice any difference in how I felt when I drank either one and for now I enjoyed the taste of the evamor and found it very smooth. That's my story for now

Plantfusion protein powder
One word, excellent. The powder is easily blended, it tastes great, easy on the stomach and loaded with healthy ingredients. Give it a try! I recommend the chocolate flavor for a little energy boost and the vanilla bean for its smooth taste.

sugary health drinks?
There are so many "health" drinks out there that are not healthy. They claim to reduce inflammation. The information we get from the media has to always be tested against our own experience. The disclaimer that you don't usually (or maybe never) get, is that it depends. There are a lot of statements that sound good and are not fully true. It may be true that certain foods are "healthy" in comparison to really unhealthy foods. This is relativism. In comparison to something bad something that is not as bad is called good. Back to the "health" drinks. Sugar increases inflammation and degeneration of the body. A true sign of a health drink is that it cleanses and nourishes the body. Try clean water. So, the test of whether or not something is a health drink is watching how it effects you. Does it have a good cumulative effect? Healthy effects include: clearer thinking, less mood swings, less fatigue, better sleep, and better strength, to name a few.

dark chocolate
Dark chocolate tastes great and lots of health gurus are saying it has many health benefits. The key is to find a good quality brand that does not have lots of added sugar and uses only natural, whole food ingredients. http://chocolatebar.com/

healthy food suggestions re-visited
Here again is some specific food suggestions. (Most of these I mentioned in an earlier blog, so forgive the repeats.) Delicious and nutritious. Food for Life Ezekiel rolls and Food for Life gluten free english muffins (make sure you toast them enough!). Earth Balance buttery spread. Full Circle lentil soup (Big Y brand). For all you people living in southeastern CT, you can get the rolls, buttery spread and english muffins at the Natural Food Store in Niantic. Some Stop and Shops also sell the Earth Balance and sometimes the Food for Life english muffins. In case it wasn't obvious, the organic Full Circle lentil soup is sold at Big Y stores.

some healthy food suggestions
When trying to eat healthy some people like specific suggestions. Here are some suggestions of foods that I find healthy, nourishing and tasty. Earth Balance buttery spread. Organic cage free eggs. Ezekiel bread and rolls. Food for Life gluten free english muffins. Spectrum canola oil organic spread. Organic peanut butter (only added ingredient of sea salt). While not all foods are healthy for all people and not all people agree on what healthy means, there are different degrees of quality. The goal is to improve the quality as you are able. That means as you are able to afford it, as you are able to have the time to go out and get it, and as you feel like you want to. Another factor to take into account is what is available to you. It is true that we can get pretty much anything from internet ordering now, yet sometimes it is more convenient to pick up items all at once when you are at the grocery store. Don't stress out about making changes or about getting everything right.

all foods, supplements, and protein powders are NOT created equal
When it comes to what you eat or drink, the quality and source are extremely important. The quality will affect how the food or drink is absorbed, digested and used in your body. If you are eating and drinking low quality foods and drinks, you will be much more likely to have health problems. There are many ways to improve what you eat and drink without breaking the bank. The key is to look for foods that are less processed, that do not have the artificial added ingredients. A common bit of advice is to shop the perimeter of the grocery store and there is a lot of truth in that. As much as possible stick to fresh, local foods and home cooked meals.

cleansing
Give your body a break. It can be easy to get in the habit of always wanting to be eating or drinking something. If you have already eaten and are generally well hydrated, it might be a good idea to take some time before your next meal.
a healthy breakfast
Start your day off with a good meal. A good meal will depend on your preferences, and what works best with your body. The key is to have a wholesome meal that does not contain chemicals, processed foods or too much sugar. Think whole grains, fruits, vegetables, eggs, good fats (avocado, coconut oil, olive oil, nuts, etc.) Eat in moderation and have something to drink with, before, or after your meal. Make it enjoyable and try to eat when you don't have to rush too much or if you have to eat quickly, try to do it in as relaxed a manner as possible.

the glory of love
Cherish the moment. What can you do today to relax? Put aside your worries and concerns and do something you enjoy today. If you have a busy day, try to enjoy whatever you are doing or "have" to do. Accept right where you are and if you have the chance, think about something that makes you happy.

make your coffee healthy
If you are a coffee drinker... look for ways to improve the health of your drink. Try to use organic creamers or use a non-dairy alternative. Look for coffees that are organic and fresh. If you want a little bit less caffeine, drink a darker roast. For sweetener try to use an unrefined sugar, or another natural source. As much as possible, cut down on any artificial flavors and syrups.

overeating
Many of us overeat. I don't mean that we go crazy and eat insane amounts of food. I mean that we eat when we don't need to. We eat when we are not hungry. We eat because we are bored, or anxious, or tired. The same goes for drinks. One drink I think our society tends to overemphasize is water. I believe water is good. I also believe it can be overdone. If we eat and drink more when we are hungry and thirsty and less because of all the "health" articles we read that tell us what we are "supposed" to be doing, I think we will feel better. Too much consuming puts stress on the organs and doesn't allow our bodies the down time they need to digest and relax properly.
